Note of condolence for the death of Iranian cyclist Bahman Golbarnezhad

The Minister of Sport Leonardo Picciani published a note of condolence due to the death of Iranian cyclist Bahman Golbarnezhad. He was involved in an accident in the C4-5 road cycling event at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, held this Saturday (17.09) at Pontal, in Rio de Janeiro.

It is with great regret that I heard the news of the death of Paralympic cyclist Bahman Gobarnezhad this Saturday morning (17.09). Bahman was 48 and passed away as a result of injuries picked up at an accident during the road cycling event.
