Minister of Sport Leonardo Picciani welcomes reporters to the Rio Media Centre

Rio de Janeiro - Brazil's Minister of Sport Leonardo Picciani will join Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes this Wednesday (27 July) at 10am for the official opening ceremony of the Rio Media Centre (RMC). Featuring 2,700 square meters of built area, the open media centre will be a point of reference for national and international press during the Games.

The RMC was created to meet the demand of press professionals interested in going beyond sports coverage. The media centre expects to receive journalists from over 100 countries, who will have access to 130 workstations, free internet, equipment for shared use, TV and radio studios, meeting rooms and an auditorium.
