Galeão Airport celebrates the Games bringing the Olympic Rings to the airport

Rio de Janeiro already counts with a different atmosphere, since the Olympic Games are about to begin in less than a week. And now, passengers who arrive in the city, from Monday on, will be able to feel the spirit of the event as soon as they land in the Galeão International Airport. The Olympic Rings, the most famous symbol of the greatest sports event in the world, are the newest landmark of the official airport of the Olympic Games.

Any visitor of the terminals can come and take a picture at the space, located between the domestic and international public arrival areas. The Olympic symbol consists of five interlaced rings of equal dimensions, used alone, in one or in five different colours, which are, from left to right, blue, yellow, black, green and red. The Olympic Rings express the activity of the Olympic Movement and represents the union of the five continents and the meeting of athletes from throughout the world at the Olympic Games.

"Not only we are very excited to bring this important symbol to Tom Jobim International Airport, we also feel very proud to be part of such an amazing moment for a lot of people from all over the planet", says Renata Pinheiro, communications and marketing director of RIOgaleão. The Olympic Rings will be installed at the airport until the end of the Games.
