Monuments and buildings in different cities around the world will be illuminated in green and yellow

This Thursday (8/4) evening, monuments and buildings in different cities around the world will be illuminated as part of the countdown to the beginning of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The initiative is led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its network of posts, and supported by the Secretariat for Social Communication of the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Brazilian Ministry of Sport, Rio de Janeiro's City Hall and Embratur. In Sydney, Australia, the lighting will take place on Friday (8/5).
